Team Sooke/Juan de Fuca is a group of Sooke region residents who have formed a refugee sponsorship committee. The committee works under the auspices of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church but includes members from the wider community.

Team Sooke/Juan de Fuca is a Constituent Group of the Refugee Committee of the Anglican Diocese of Canada. The Anglican Diocese is a Sponsorship Agreement Holder (SAH). SAHs have signed agreements with the Government of Canada to facilitate refugee sponsorship. They are well-established organizations that are experienced in helping refugees settle in Canada.

As well as being guided by the SAH, we will be using the services of organizations such as the Inter-Cultural Association of Greater Victoria and the Victoria Immigrant and Refugee Centre to ensure that the newcomers' needs are properly met.
